Terms of Service
Who the seller is, how orders are accepted, pricing and sales tax, product information, and the law that applies.
Who you are contracting with
Alongside Market is a privately owned business operated by an individual in McAllen, Texas, United States. It is not a nonprofit, charity, charitable trust or 501(c)(3) organization. The seller's contact address is published on our contact page.
Orders and acceptance
Adding an item to your cart is not an accepted order. An order is accepted when we confirm dispatch or send an order confirmation and take payment.
We may refuse or cancel an order where an item is mispriced in obvious error, out of stock, restricted in your location, or where fraud is suspected. In that case you are refunded in full.
Prices and sales tax
Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax and any import charges unless stated at checkout. Sales tax is calculated and collected where required and remitted to the relevant authority. A cancer-relief purpose does not exempt retail sales from tax.
Contributions are separate from purchases
Optional contributions are not purchases and buy no goods or services. They are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. Their allocation is published on our How Funds Are Used page. Contribution collection is not active at this policy version.
Product information, safety and no medical claims
Products are general consumer goods. Nothing sold here treats, prevents, cures or diagnoses cancer or any other condition, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Product descriptions come from suppliers and may contain errors; where a safety, labeling or recall issue is identified, the listing is corrected or withdrawn.
Intellectual property
The Alongside Market name, wordmark and ribbon artwork are used by this business. If any third party believes a listing infringes their rights, contact us and the listing is reviewed and, where appropriate, removed. No trademark registration or clearance is claimed.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Texas law, and disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Hidalgo County, Texas. Nothing here waives rights you have under applicable consumer law. These terms contain no forced arbitration clause, no class-action waiver and no unusual liability limitation, and no clause is presented as eliminating any customer's legal rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date in effect at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order. Material changes are not applied retroactively to commitments already published under an earlier version.
Policy version v1.0 · Effective 26 October 2026. Earlier orders keep the policy that applied to them. This page is general information about how the store operates and does not create any right to a specific assistance payment.
