Policies and Disclosures
Everything Alongside Market promises, in one place: how funds are used, shipping, returns and cancellations, contributions, privacy and the terms of sale.
Policies
- How Funds Are Used — Who you are buying from, exactly what share of profit is allocated to financial assistance, how profit is defined, and how the owner benefit is disclosed.
- Shipping and Fulfillment — Processing time, carrier transit time, tracking, destinations and split shipments for orders placed with Alongside Market.
- Returns, Refunds and Cancellations — The 30-day return window from delivery, damaged or wrong item handling, refund timing and cancellation rights.
- Terms of Service — Who the seller is, how orders are accepted, pricing and sales tax, product information, and the law that applies.
- Privacy and Cookies — What we collect, who processes it, cookies and pixels, how long we keep records, and your privacy rights.
- Voluntary Contributions — A for-profit business contribution program: after processing fees, 90% of each net contribution goes to other cancer patients and families and 10% to the owner's household.
Our published commitment
We allocate 90% of available retail profit to cancer-related financial assistance: 18% to the owner's household and 72% to other cancer patients and families, with 10% retained by the business. Available retail profit is retail sales after refunds and chargebacks, documented business costs, and a documented provision for the income and self-employment taxes on those earnings. It is not the purchase price or total sales revenue.
Voluntary contributions use a separate formula: after payment-processing fees, 90% to other families and 10% to the owner's household, with nothing retained for operations. Contribution collection is not active.
